i dont subscribe to this "uplift" theory just pointing out the possibilities for the Other to expand its own spheres who is enemy? for some, colonial oppression was the only enemy? as if no other kind of enemy was possible? such paradigms still continue to dominate our commnsense. the bomb doesnt recognise "differences", but those who point towards bomb to construct "national interest" would certainly love to.
