the failure of the grand secularisation theory and the need to address neglectd terrains such as religion was one of the special sesions organised in the recently concluded world sociology congress in budapest. the academic world has woken up thoughbelatedly, (better delayed than never) academia in 21st century sans marxian rhetoric may bring better hopes let us hope so
