*IIT, IIM are national importance so you are not allowed*

*On 23rd December 2008, at 2 to 3 pm 18 bills have passed in rajya sabha,
the scheduled castes and schedule tribes (reservations in posts and
services) Bill 2008 is one of them, After hearing the name of this bill we
may understood that they are bringing this bill to provide reservation to
the Sc ST, But reality is that this bill totally against to the policy of
reservation and against to the spirit of constitution.

According to the Section (1) of 4 of the above said bill is providing
exemption to fallow the reservation system to all the IITs and IIMs in the
country they are 47 institutions, as the all IITs and IIMs are Institutes of
National Importance, why only IIT, IIMs are institutes of national
importance, ti may means the other educational institutes in the country are
not important for the nation, In future the government may declare
parliament and assemblies are national importance so there is no need to
follow the reservation system in the parliament and assemblies

It may leads to a situation the government will declare any department or
sector as national importance and they will be exempted from reservation
policy, they may say one day the primary schools, high schools, collages
and universities are national important institutions so there is no need to
follow the reservation system, if we allow this bill to become as Act it
will spoil entair system of reservation, the wonder is that this bill was
passed in the rajya sabha within 3 minutes of time

Ambedkar introduced reservation policy with his 40 years struggle of life
and death, and our rajya sabha have passed a bill against the reservation
in 3 minutes, this is the time to raise doubt on the intellectuality and
innocence of the members of the rajya sabha, and passing this bill without
any discuss on it is a scrap on the face of it, and i have a desire to know
what the rajya sabha members are doing while passing this bill, very
important is that i am very much desired to know what the dalit rajya sabha
members are doing while passing this bill

This bill is against to the spirit of the constitution and against to the
orders no 6-30/2005 of the human resource development department, as per
this orders all the universities who are getting grants from university
grants commission are bound to follow the reservation policy in the
recruitment of lecturers and professors, readers, the same orders was sent
to the all IIMs and IITs in the June 2008, here they reserved only jobs but
there is no exemption on the merit and intelligence of the candidates and
they brought a bill in the December 2008, it is crystal clear whose
interests were there.

Now they are going to introduce this bill in the loksabha, at least in the
loksabha all the Members of parliament must and should oppose this bill and
demand to remove the section 4 of the SC, ST ( Reservations in the posts and
services) Bill 2008, particularly the dalit MP's have to create such a
weather where this bill should go in to the dust bin, otherwise total
reservation system will be spoiled

there are 2300 teaching posts in the banaran Hindu university, and there are
at least 500 teaching posts in the every IIT and IIM, so the total number of
teaching posts will be 23500 out of this the SC st candidates have to get
at least 5287 teaching posts in the IIT and IIMs, just think for a minute
are there dalits in the IIT and IIMs up to this number

It is necessary to remember here there are no SC st people in the executive
boards of IIT and IIMs and teacher selection committees, all upper caste
selection board members are torturing Sc ST candidates history is the
evidence of this, and it is very difficult to get approval of a PhD for for
a dalit scholar from an upper caste professor, the dalits have to depend on
the upper castes every where to get benefits of the scholarships and other
schemes,

while such a horrible things going on they should bring a law to support
the dalits, instead of that they are trying to keep away all SC st people
from IIT and IIMs, in this kind of situation why no dalit leader from Andra
Pradesh talking about this, there are agitations in the entire country
against this bill,

this is the time to keep away our personal agendas and unite to fight
against this bill, if this bill passed in the loksaba the entaire dalit
communities future will become dark
