I'm also on the developers list. :) So, the question has been asked when are we going to release 3.0.0?
When I created the milestone on GitHub I attached the date March 31 to it fairly arbitrarily. Seeing as we're nearly ready, it appears that said goal wasn't entirely unreasonable, but I don't think it should be considered set in stone. Considerations: Have we tested enough and fixed the bugs we found? I think the answer here is yes, but my internet troubles have prevented me from downloading the latest version of Gregorio-test, so I haven't been able to run the tests myself. Is the documentation ready? I think that all our changes have been documented within the repository. We still have a long way to go before said documentation can be said to be complete, but I don't think that's a goal for this release anyway. The last thing that needs to be done is to update the installation instructions on the website. I was going to work on that today (uploading isn't an immediate concern because we don't want the changes to go live until release day anyway), however other duties have kept me from that. Finally, there's the question of building the release. I think Linux and Mac users who build from source are ready to go. The Windows installer also appears ready. That leaves the potential Mac installer, which really needs to be done by me since I'm the one with a Mac. To be honest I haven't had much time to work on this yet, though I have a potential tool. If someone could take responsibility for making the website updates, I'll focus on the Mac installer and see what I can figure out this weekend. By Monday I should have some idea as to whether I can have a working installer ready in short enough order to make it part of this release. ✝✝✝✝✝✝✝✝✝✝✝✝✝✝✝✝✝✝✝✝✝✝✝✝ Br. Samuel, OSB (R.
