The advantage of lua would be that we could get rid of the separate gregorio
program, all we'd need is to type gabc directly in *.tex and as GregorioTeX
uses luaLaTeX it could process everything.

Anyway, my preference would be to keep it in C, and worst case C++, with all
the other languages you get portability nightmares.
