Based on the instructions, I cloned the develop branch. Is release-3.0 the
official release branch? I'm having trouble keeping track of all of the
branches and which to use. (I put this on the devel list because I am using
git and thought it might be too much for the users list; as I am not at
developer level, should this be there instead?)
