I think you also need to import the new luatexbase from CTAN (sorry,
didn't realize that earlier). The good way of doing the update would be
to detect if the new LaTeX is available, and if so, not using
luatexbase, but I believe it should work even if (the new version of)
luatexbase is used with the new LaTeX... In this case maybe we can stick
with current code, but it's worth cheking if this really works.
