Dear all,

I recently installed MacTeX-2015 and Gregorio 4.1.1 on a Macbook running OS X
El Capitan - a completely fresh installation with up-to-date release version of
all software packages. Everything seems to work fine when I tried using TeXShop
to engrave a small chant with simple tex and gabc files except that I notice a
placement issue. The first asterisk between "intende, " and "qui dedú-cis", as
you can see in the generated test.pdf (attached), is misaligned to the first
occurrence of divisio maior, while most other asterisks are well aligned to the
corresponding divisio (but the one in the 3rd line is not well aligned, either).

For comparison I used an online engraving tool
(http://gregorio.gabrielmass.com/cgi/process.pl) to produce a model.pdf with
the same gabc source (test.gabc), and found that all asterisks are perfectly
placed, regardless difference of other details (mostly of the spacing which
might be caused by the different version of OS, TeX and Gregorio).

It looks like a bug but I'm not sure if it has ever been reported before.

Below is a list of files in the attachment:

test.gabc - the gabc source file of a psalm tone

test.tex - the TeX file

test.pdf - the score produced by the newly installed Gregorio 4.1.1 +
MacTex-2015 + OS X El Capitan

model.pdf - the score produced by the online engraving tool (Gregorio 4.0.1)

test-4_1_1.gtex - the tex file generated by TeXShop which might be useful for
diagnosis

Thanks,

Michael Zhang
