That's a bug in the way the code which shifts elements occurring right
after a punctum mora to the left interacts with the old bar spacing
algorithm (so it's the bar getting shifted left, not the asterisk to the
right). For now, look at the possible arguments for
`\gresetshiftaftermora` and pick one which doesn't shift the bars when
there is text underneath.
I'll create a bug report later tonight to get this fixed in the future.
