Hello Father,
I managed to reproduce the problem on *both* polish and english version
of Windows 7 x64.
Steps:
1. Install clean Windows x64
2. Download MikTeX 2.9 x64 basic installer from
http://mirror.easyname.at/ctan/systems/win32/miktex/setup/basic-miktex-2.9.6236-x64.exe
3. Install MiKTeX with all options default
4. Run MiKTeX Update (Admin) twice (first time it updates core, then
additional packages)
5. Download and install gregorio-5_0_1-setup.exe from github
6. Run lualatex --shell-escape file.tex.
It seems that *luates\gregoriotex\gregoriotex.lua* is unable to open
real_gregorio_exe: I added following lines just for debugging :
129 exe_version = io.popen(real_gregorio_exe..' --version', 'r')
* > local s = assert(exe_version:read('*all'))
*
* > err("Found exe_version: '%s'\n", s)*
130 if exe_version then
but suprisingly *s* is an empty string (maybe I'm doing something
wrong...) PATH variables are correct since I can run gregorio-5_0_1
--version from any directory.
I found a small bug in system-setup.bat - the findstr is not working
right with string containing spaces:
FINDSTR: Unable to open C:\Program
FINDSTR: Unable to open Files\MiKTeX
FINDSTR: Unable to open 2.9\tex\luatex\gregoriotex\gregorio-spaces.tex
Surrounding all !loc! with quotes ("!loc!") fixed the problem.

It's quite wierd, but I can run both commands from cmd. Maybe that's
because I removed MiKTeX and installed TexLive and now everything
works smooth. But it still does not explain why gregorio wasn't
working with MikTeX...
Since it's right after midnight here in Poland tomorrow I will setup
VirtualBox with polish Windows and try to find out if the error is
replicable and what is causing it.

`otfinfo` is packaged in the TeXLive binaries, but possibly not
in the MiKTeX binaries. Fortunately the information this tool
returns (font versions) doesn't appear to be critical to this
particular problem. If you still want to fix it, you should be
able to install the font tool package containing it on its own.
