I wasn't talking about the fade time. I think I wasn't too clear here,
so I'm sorry about my crappy English. Let me try once more...

I was talking about the 2nd, 3rd and 4th notification disappearing
every 0.5 seconds or faster would delay the move of the 5th
notification (0.5 is just an example). So instead of this (three
moves)...

A
1. * ("stay on screen")
2. ^
3. * (0.5 sec. left to disappear)
4. * (1 sec. left to disappear)
5. * (4 sec. left to disappear)

B
1. *
3. ^
4. * (0.5 sec. left to disappear)
5. * (3.5 sec. left to disappear)

C
1. *
4. ^
5. * (3 sec. left to disappear)

...I think this is better (one move):

A
1. *
2. (just disappeared)
3. * (0.5 sec. left to disappear)
4. * (1 sec. left to disappear)
5. * (4 sec. left to disappear)

B
1. *
2. ^
3. |
4. |
5. * (3 sec. left to disappear)

Since the 2nd, 3rd and 4th are disappearing with an interval of 0.5
(or less), the 5th will not move before the 2nd, 3rd and 4th have
disappeared. Not even the 3rd and 4th will change its position after
the 2nd has disappeared, because the interval isn't above 0.5 seconds.

This was just an idea I got to make it less confusing when several
notifications disappears after each other with a small interval. But
after all I'm not even sure anymore if this is a good idea. Up to you
to decide!
