In my book (as an end user) any method would be understood as fix. Be it a re-write or a bug-patch. ;-) One thing confused me a bit in your response, which was the reference to "old" and "new code". Is the "old code" everything available now, like v1.2 and before or is that the code before v1.2 ? In any way, I am excited on the result of the re-write when it comes out!
