Yeah, when I googled the issue I saw a LOT about Firefox.  I know and
knew it was clearly a Thunderbird issue, I was just hoping that maybe
someone else would have had that happen and had come up with a
solution.  I don't have that issue with Firefox, so I am assuming that
this is only happening with new installations.  Incidentally,
Thunderbird hasn't been updated since I last had it installed.  The
only difference between then and now is the new OSX update that has
broken the GrowlMail plugin.  My guess would be that this new OSX
update may be the root of these issues.
