Hi, I've mentioned this on another ost but since there was no reply to it, i believe it necessary to restate it.
The speech notification option is a great alternative for blind users using voice over but the notifications should not stop normal screen reader voices when called on. In this i mean that the system voice used for the notifications should run simultaneously as the voice used by navigation and user commands. Currently when a notification arrives from whatever application triggered, the voice used by user, who was reading a mail or an article or anything, is stopped by the notification's system voice. And there is no way to stop the notification until it ends. Until that point the blind user is stuck having to wait for the notification to end. Imagine that for example someone with a hella long name in skype gets online, or a filename with many underscores and seriously long has finished downloading. The blind user can't continue his/her task. So the request is for the notifications to be triggered normally but that they can be heard as background notifications without halting everything else screen reader wise. Hoping this one can get through as it will greatly enhance the experience.
