It's unfortunately that's not the case currently. Adobe is working on it, and dropbox is working on it, but as with any update it takes time.
The other problem we'll have is that people will purchase CS5 in a box, and will install it, and get Growl, regardless of an update or not. It's just how it is, we have to deal with the repercussions. The same would happen with DropBox if they had a box (I don't know if they sell in a retail setting).
