Having trouble installing Growl on OSX 10.6.4.
I get a message that it can't find the default application for opening
Growl.prefpane.
My System Preferences app is alive and well. In fact, even though the
installer complains about it, the prefpane is appearing in system
preferences when I launch it and I can set Growl preferences there.
I have tried to right click on the actual growl.prefpane file, and it
already has System preferences listed as the default app for opening
it. I tried to specify it again, didn't work.
I had previously moved System Preferences to a sub folder of
Applications, but it didn't effect it negatively in any way, launching
it from the Dock and all that still worked. I have since moved it
back to Applications, but makes no difference.
What is going on?
