Double clicking on it opens it in system preferences just as you would expect it to.
I meant to say earlier, when I said that I right clicked on it and tried to specify it again as the default app that it "didn't work". I meant it worked to do that, but it didn't fix the next attempt to complete a growl install. All that being said, growl seems to be working...so whatever it did was enough to get it working, but of course I am not 100% convinced it was a complete install since the installer did not complete. And now of course I'm a bit paranoid that something in my system is broken but I have no idea what.
