I uninstalled, and reinstalled, and ran beephammer. I don't get the message 
about installing the preference pane anymore but I am still getting huge log 
files. (When I open beephammer it always has write verbose logging checked ... 
that setting never changes. It leads me to believe that there are 2 forms of 
logging, verbose and non-verbose. I appear to be getting verbose logging. 

Since last night I have a 4MB log file ... here is the start:
