No problem. It is a pretty tiny pop-up menu. ☺

With the exception of the hub, at least most of these are part of the computer.

- IR Receiver: Black dot (possibly rectangular) on the front of the lower
section of your computer.
- Built-in iSight: Above the screen.
- Card Reader: The built-in SD slot, I'm guessing.
- Bluetooth USB Host Controller: Probably. It's described as
“WirelessControllerDevice” on my 2007 MBP, but otherwise, it shows up for me,
too. (I confirmed it was the Bluetooth radio by looking in ioreg.)

The buses are what everything plugs into. Since you have a Mac, you should have
one bus per USB port. It does surprise me that you get a mix of “USB 2.0 Bus”
and “USB Bus” notifications, though, since Apple's specs for the current iMac
say it has “Four USB 2.0 ports”.

My laptop even notifies about its built-in keyboard and trackpad.

I'm not sure any of us use the “Show connected devices when HardwareGrowler
starts” option. I think we could probably do some filtering to make it more
useful, starting with excluding the buses.

Does the printer show up in System Profiler in the USB section?
