I've just tried to remove all of the files in the plugin-folder and
you're right! It worked as expected after they were removed from that
folder.
I narrowed it down to the Nucleic (Dark) style, and i tried to
download the style again from the developer and the style now works as
expected. Could it have gone corrupt in the downloading/unzipping of
the style.
I tried searching with spotlight for growl, but it doesn't find and
files containing "growl" unless a search specifically in the Library
directory. Shouldn't it search through the entire hard drive if i
choose to search on "This Mac"?

A question, since I uninstalled it a couple of times, shouldn't the
styles that I installed have been removed also? Since it obviously can
cause some bugs it should probably be at least an option when you
uninstall Growl. That prompts you with something like: "Do you wan't
to uninstall your custom installed styles too?"

Thanks for the help!! Saved my growl!
