I just got the "needs an update" message, uninstalled growl-1.2 using the uninstaller, and purchased growl-1.3.1 on the app store.
However, I don't have growl installed - at least, there's no pane in system preferences for it. Mac app store thinks it's installed so won't download it again. Uninstaller always succeeds, even multiple runs in a row, and they all appear to successfully remove growl. What's going on?
