HALLELUJAH IT WORKS!!! Tom you were right and I'm obviously in the category of "most people" I made a change on the website and growl kicked in and now its showing inside growls applications. I can only thank the 2 of you for your help and advice. Tom, thanks for the links they're now saved for future use and I hope this hasn't been touch trouble for anyone. I can now get on with my life and stop thinking about growl 24/7 ha ha
