At this time there is no way to receive Prowl messages on your laptop
to my knowledge. Boxcar has a desktop app, that can talk to Growl,
but from my limited experience with it, it's a very bad choice (Im not
sure they have even updated it since it's initial beta release a
couple years ago, and it uses ugly tech and broke frequently)

Depending on your situation, what is sending, and where these
notifications are being sent to Prowl, you could use our networking
(GNTP) and either subscription to the server (which then you only need
a fixed domain name or ip address for the server), or Back To My Mac/
dynamic DNS for forwarding to the laptop, however Growl.app as a
server doesn't have offline caching of any sort, if the computer you
want to receive notes is offline, they wouldn't go through.

If anyone else knows of a general purpose desktop solution for
receiving notifications from a service similar to Prowl, we would be
interested to hear about it.
