Had not heard of either of those. Notify.io's desktop client for OSX has a very out of date framework, but it could be updated using GrowlVersionDetective to our latest framework (see http://growl.info/downloads#generaldownloads, a quick test shows it as working with our 2.0 framework put in place of it's 1.2 framework.
