Hi Ben,

I have done the clutch recently in my car. I got a Daiken/Exceedy
original replacement clutch, that is not uprated dramatically, just a
little better than a genuine Mitsubishi item.

What I did get though was an uprated pressure plate. Which is from a
VR4 RS and has been modified slightly to fit the GSR gear box.

It is a very good set IMHO as it is not heavy, its actually just as
light as before. But it has a more noticeable bite to it, although
this could come down to old one being quite worn.

I have also used it in a few motorkhanas without any dramas. Car
drove well, no slipping etc.

The is all standard and running standard power, although after 10
years I am sure its not making its claimed 141kw as the handbook
states ;)

Fairly cheap, it only cost me $800 fitted in Western Australia.

I have driven a GSR with the same pressure plate but also with an
uprated clutch plate, its a bit difficult to drive because the clutch
point is very small making it hard to drive in traffic, its also a
little heavy.

I have also driven a Pulsar GTiR with a brass button clutch. Sure it
hammers, but I wouldnt want to be in peak hour traffic every day with
it.

Just some thoughts :)

regards

Mimmo
