IIRC, ESRI once documented that the .e00 format was their proprietaryYou could also convert your Arc-Info gridded map to ascii (gridascii command) and import to PCRaster (asc2map command). PCRaster map format is certainly supported by Gstat.
format, and that they (i) would not document it and (ii) wanted to hold
the right to change the format without notifying their users. Chances
are that this happened, because it used to work (for me and others),
and the code did not change (I should have noticed!).Most probably you work with a recent version of Arc-Info, and you
will have access to a recent incubation of .e00. I can have a look
at it if you want. In that case, please send me a (minimal) command
file with data and .e00 edges, that does not work currently.
