You're right, Charles, this is not ready for prime time and may not be
ready for some time.

I don't disagree that the MyProxy Online CA is perhaps best for full
GT, but that right there is a significant hurdle.  If you really want
to open up GT to a wide range of deployers, you need to relax the
startup requirements considerably.  (If a 60-min F2F intro to GT is
dominated by 45 mins of gory GSI specifics, something's wrong IMO.)

One approach is to build a quick start around Core (Java or C).  The
quick start we are developing, for example, requires JWS Core plus a
plugin, which runs anywhere Java runs.  Deployer start-up time is
significantly reduced in this environment.  (So is functionality, you
say, but that might be perceived as a Good Think by newbies.)  By
lowering the barriers for first-time deployers, more people can play
the game, which benefits everybody.

My two-cents worth, anyway.
