I dunno. I'd like your feedback (and Alan's) on the 4.2 quickstart.
The simpleca and hostcerts are deployed in a single command, gt-server-
ca.pl -y. The cert/key distribution is all handled by myproxy. I
think it's a bit more elegant than what was going on in the 4.0
quickstart.

Tom - is this really quickstart suitable? Things like

You're right, Charles, this is not ready for prime time and may not be
ready for some time.
I don't disagree that the MyProxy Online CA is perhaps best for full
GT, but that right there is a significant hurdle. If you really want
to open up GT to a wide range of deployers, you need to relax the
startup requirements considerably. (If a 60-min F2F intro to GT is
dominated by 45 mins of gory GSI specifics, something's wrong IMO.)
One approach is to build a quick start around Core (Java or C). The
quick start we are developing, for example, requires JWS Core plus a
plugin, which runs anywhere Java runs. Deployer start-up time is
significantly reduced in this environment. (So is functionality, you
say, but that might be perceived as a Good Think by newbies.) By
lowering the barriers for first-time deployers, more people can play
the game, which benefits everybody.
My two-cents worth, anyway.
