Good, so we have a clean optimizer bug, but it's not easy to isolate it.

Can anybody on this list volunteer to report the bug to the gcc team
and do the necessary follow-ups?  We want this bug nailed down...

BTW, there is another gcc bug to report: see the comment marked "RAM"
near the top of the src/lib/fast_assert.h file.  It occurred with:

        gcc (GCC) 4.2.1 20070719  [FreeBSD]

Anyone (else) want to pursue that one further as well?
