As I see it the "parts" situation for the GTS will only get worse now
that foriegn sales of the bike have ended with the introduction of the new
1300cc sport tourer. It reminds me of my Ducati bevel twin experience.
Everyone (bevel twin owners) thought that when CAGIVA took over Ducati in the
mid- eighties some how the parts flow to the "old" bikes would magically
reappear.Wrong......they didn't give a flying fandango any old bikes (or
their owners) and I can't help but think we're same boat.
So its "chat groups" like ours and networking that will keep our
oddball bikes on the road. I suspect the GTS has assumed "red-headed " step
child status with Yamaha .
