I'm with Tom on this one although some dealers will charge up to $12 for
one. You can find OEM mail order for $6-$7 each. I will however crossover
and use the Honda MM9 filter with no fears. One thing to think about when
looking at filters with larger filtration areas, if it makes the filter
longer then your getting closer and closer to the header pipes. Not good.

I don't get it. Why choose the risk of using a non-OEM
spec filter? Because it's cheaper? Because you trust
your assessment of the optimal specifications better
than that of the engineers who designed this and other
engines?
Maybe I'm naive, but the risks in this case just don't
seem to outweigh the rewards. I'll stick with the
manufacturer's spec even if it costs a little more to
do so.
