Interestingly, 3 of Code's specialized bikes were at the IMSC: the NO BS
(Body Steering) Bike, the Braking bike with outriggers and the Slide bike.
All demoed by a fellow named Andy Burnett. As an instructor, I have no
doubts about how a bike is steered. But for those folks who think there is
something to the "body steering" concept one ride on the NO BS bike will
prove that there is nothing to it, and that body steering is totally
ineffectual. And if you think about it, you would agree: no human, no
matter how big, is going to change the direction of a 300 lb. (or heavier)
motorcycle that is already going in a particular direction by applying
pressure with the rider's knee or even by standing on the footpeg. The
directional inertia is simply too big.
