I'm with Phil, here. (I've stayed out of it waiting to see how silly this
argument would get.) I bet he locked the steering head. I've been on bikes
many times, put my hands on the tank and leaned off just to see what
happened. (Usually done on a nice wide racetrack with no other bike around.)
The bike turned. It turned well. It turned easily. I had to put my hand on
the bar to either increase throttle or countersteer to keep it from turning
too much.

Bikes turn by leaning. Top racers, engineers and such still argue about the
best way to make a bike lean.
