Funny, just got mine back too. Took mine up to Kevin Hawkins' mechanic since
my old mechanic at the local dealer quit last year and nothing but young
kids who have never seen a GTS before working there now. Didn't do the rear
swingarm either this time, but on next tire change it will be time. As for
the A-Arm, one of the bearings was backordered, took about 2.5 weeks so it
should be in soon Kelly. Mine was in for valve adjust which was done and he
also synched the throttle bodies (new chain and sprockets too). I must say
it does run smoother (or was it just gone that long) but it definitely idles
smoother now and also seems less prone to surge (though mine's never been
too bad on that as Kevin can attest). I'm at 24Kmi on the clock and the
service seemed well worth it. If you haven't adjusted the valves and synched
the throttle bodies and have about the same or higher mileage, I'd recommend
having it done. BTW all the exhaust valves were a smidge tight and all the
intakes were within spec. Andy Perry's GTS is up there now for the valve
adjust and throttle body sync, it will be interesting to see if he has the
same observations as me since his has over 30Kmi on it and he also went to
the individual K&N air cleaners where mine's still stock.

ps Anyone know how big a job it is to replace the swingarm
bearings/bushings?

<snip> Since then they've gone through 4 service
managers, three entire service teams, and countless "lead
mechanics."
o They didn't do the rear swingarm bushing. The swingarm still
has vertical play with the bike on the centerstand.
o The bushing for the upper front A-Arm wasn't changed. The
part's on back order. No, they didn't order it SIX MONTHS AGO
when I dropped the bike off- They ordered it 2 weeks ago.
