I have seen the muffler hit the ground, up close and personal, following my
brother in law. I think it will hit long before you touch the front swing arm
down. It is not all that much farther out of the way than the right foot peg.
The thing that is unnerving about hitting the front swingarm is there is no
give to speak of, once it hits, the front tire would get light and loose
traction, I presume. In addition to that, the reduced coefficeint of friction
of aluminum sliding on the asphalt would all but gurantee a front end wash
out and lowside crash. As Kelly said, if you are having serious problems with
the GTS limiting your speed because of cornering clearance, you are riding
the wrong machine, and are probably leaving everyone else anyhow.
