I had the older model of Rukka jacket - which was basically the same except that the
inner wasn't detachable. In heavy rain, the outer jacket gets soaked through, and I
used to feel as if I was thoroughly wet - and yet when the jacket comes off at
journey's end, I'm actually completely dry (the water stops at the Goretex layer)!
Slightly wierd feeling. Having the outer jacket wet causes a certain amount of
cooling through evaporation, so now I wear a thin rain-jacket over the top of my other
riding clothes if rain is expected.
