<Re: 94 GTS Blue> were:
=> Thanks for the tip Kevin although I can't find anyone who knows what
=> Colorite is here in Canada (is it a product name or a body shop supply
=> chain?). Does anyone else know about the color code for the 94 blue?
=>
Colorite is a company that supposedly makes OEM-matching touch up paint. They
_say_ they have '94 GTS blue, but when I've asked them (~3 times in the last ~5
years), they don't really have it. They weren't out of stock when I
asked...they just never made it.
Let me know if they do actually have it. I need about a gallon (3.79l)!

=> <Hey Daren,
=> I didn't have to deal with any paint issues when changing my '93 to '94
=> because the person who was responsible for my bikes damage had to pay for
=> OEM plastic! Of course, it was already painted to the beautiful '94 blue.
=> Colorite DOES claim to have a matching color for the '94 blue and many GTS
=> listers have had good experiences with it matching the OEM color. I know
=> you can buy it in pint sizes to repaint the whole bike if needed. What do
=> ya think?

=> <Hi Kevin
=>
=> I've had a couple of panels on my 93 GTS repainted recently and even though
=> the fellow doing the work is very good, he couldn't get the color to match
=> the original dead on. I'm going to have to repaint all the red pieces on
=> my bike now with a color code from a book so that they are all consistent
=> and
=> so the color can be reproduced consistently if needed in the future.
=>
=> I am now reconsidering if I even want the bike to be red and I remember you
=> telling me that you went with the 94 blue for your bike. I think it looks
=> good and was wondering if you went with a color coded blue from a book or
=> if it was custom blended to match the factory Yam blue. I once received a
=> 94
=> signal light for my bike and really liked the blue then. I would
=> appreciate
=> your feedback.
