I've been using a product called HOUDINI also known as Super Slick Slick
Stuff both a spray in locks for some time now. The local Yamaha dealer does
not do keys. I have found a locksmith that made me new keys. X248 and YM63
are the numbers stamped on the blanks that he used. I've found that the
newer keys work better than the OEM. It might be that the key is worn out a
bit. I still have noticed that there are times I have to jiggle the lock to
bring it out of the lock position. Especially if there is pressure placed on
the steering while it is parked. Moving the handle bars a bit makes it unlock
easier,
