Hi Barry,
Reasons FOR buying a GTS are.
Their pretty rare , mine still draws a crowd after 7 years of owning it.
They've got centre hub steering , that's pretty rare on a bike today.
At a guess theirs only about 20 - 30 in the UK.
It's a great touring bike and it will keep up with sports bike's , if you
give it a hand full , and the roads don't get to twisty.
You should get approx 38-40mpg round town and 47-50mpg on a run , better
than some other bikes of the same size.
Valve clearances are done at every 28,000miles.
Second hand ones are now cheap.
Reasons AGAINST.
Their heavy , but you get used to it.
The ABS can play up some times , but you can fix it.
Would i buy one again , YOU BET , what's better than owning one GTS .
Owning two and tuning / customising the second.
Just what i can think of for now.
atb Nick T ( in the UK )
