I was recently showroom dreaming on my day off in
my local Honda, Kawasaki, Susuki dealership. When I
sat on the new bikes and grabbed some front brake
I was impressed at the zero travel in the front brake
lever. Upon leaving on my GTS, I compared front brake
lever travel. Maybe it's the latest technology on the
new 01 bikes or just 8yrs. and 46,000 miles on my
93 GTS, but my front brake lever travel is 1.25"
travel before firm pressure starts. The front and
rear ABS perform flawlessly, and I'm otherwise very
happy with my brakes performance. Brake fluid has
been changed every 6-12 months since new and I just
can't remember if it had the travel when new or does
it happen so gradually over time that you just don't
realize it? Or is my front master getting senile
in it's old age?
THANKS
