Can you recreate the fault , on your driveway at home , just by letting it
idle until it gets hot ?
If so , then when the missing is quite bad , ( obviously affecting the
cylinder ). Stop the engine and allow it to cool down , then remove the
plugs ( noting which one came from which cylinder ) and check all 4 for plug
colour .
This should help you track down which cylinder is having problems .

Or buy some plug /spark testers ( don't know the correct name for them )
they fit in between the plug and cap , they flash when the spark passes
through them .
The ones i've got are orange in colour .
Using these , you should be able to see the missing cylinder as soon as it
starts to miss .
But because the plugs are seated quite deep in the block you may need to
make up some sort of  extension piece first .
