My guess is the new "IC" is really a new ECU or specifically the '94 ECU. It
would be nice to know if one IC could be replaced (mapping chip) in the ECU
to cure this. If memory serves, the '94 ECU is a bit richer mixture which
helps the surge problem or the fast throttle closing when the bike is cold
('93s will tend to cut off if the throttle is closed quickly when the bike
is cold) but also results in poorer gas mileage. Maybe RSRBOB can shed some
light on this one. If someone can produce this new "IC" as long as it's no
larger than a 1 Mb eprom I do have the capability to duplicate anything up
to a 1 Mb chip. I'm sure the ICs in the ECU are probably all soldered in and
removing them and replacing one you would need the proper tools for the job
(like we have in our repair facility to do component level repair).
