Nieuwe Eprom GTS1000
Ik rij al sinds 1993 op een Yamaha GTS1000. Aan het eind van '96 stonden er
in deze rubriek een paar brieven over de instabiliteit van deze machine op
lagere snelheid. Ook ik had aan het begin het idee dat de machine wat
topzwaar was; als ik langzaam reed, leek de motor vanzelf om te vallen.
Tegenwoordig rij ik met een iets smallere band en ik heb het idee dat hij
nu - vooral bij langzaam rijden - makkelijker rijdt. Ook als je over
wegmarkeringen rijdt, blijft hij gewoon stabiel aanvoelen.
Ik heb met mijn GTS wel een ander probleem gehad: als ik met ongeveer 3500
tpm in de tweede versnelling reed, was het net alsof de motor steeds even
uit- en aanging. Dat bleef zo tot ik iets meer gas gaf, dan verdween het.
Ik ben ermee bij verschillende motorzaken geweest, maar geen van hen kon
het probleem oplossen. De afgelopen MotoRAI heb ik het probleem voorgelegd
aan Yamaha Nederland. Zij hebben inmiddels een nieuwe Eprom in de black box
van de ontsteking/injektie geplaatst en zie: het probleem is helemaal over!
