Hi Jeff
The original GTS motor I covered up and kept in the garage in case I
wanted to swap back. It has 23,000 miles on it. Ran perfect when I pulled
it out except for the normal oil consumption that everyone complains about.
Had the valve clearances checked at 10,000 and 22,000 with no change. I
would consider selling it. I was going to sell everything as a package, but I
may wind up parting the bike out if it doesnt sell . Why dont you give me a
call. I also live in San Diego north county. 760-940-6934. The FZR motor
has about 37,000 on it but had a fresh head about 10,000miles ago and a new
starter clutch about 15,000 miles ago at which time they put in new rings
when they reassembeled the motor. This motor still does not use any oil
between oil changes even when run hard.
