=> I'm kind of curious to know just how many bikes made in 93-94 had adjustable
=> bars? I'm not talking about handle bars per se, but really about right and
=> left handles. My guess is that it is (was) very few. I don't count
=> machines that use true handle bars as we know them--the type that run
=> continuously from one side to the other, but only about those bikes with
=> bars that had a break in the middle.

The BMW R1100RS[A] was the only bike that I know of in 1993 that had adjustable
bars as you describe. The bars could be individually adjusted for distance to
the rider and their angle (in a horizontal plane). I really miss them, and the
adjustable seat (3 height positions) and the adjustable foot pegs, and the
adjustable windshield (the best feature of all).

The ergonomic features of the R1100RSA were one thing (possibly the only thing)
that BMW got wholeheartedly correct!
