Jay,
I agree with you.. I've got two pairs of Thurlow gloves.. one for
winter with lining and one for summer..

Excellent gloves... I've had mine for 4 years.. Deer Skin gloves
fit like a "-----".. no pun intended..

Digital Foot..

I agree glove fit is important and my hands can be tough, too. Some brands
fit far better than others. My best solution were gloves I've bought from
Thurlow and from Z-Leather. In both cases, I had two fingers trimmed
slightly. (In this case, they did it while I waited, but you could send them
an outline of your hand.) These are both high quality and abrasive resistant
and good down to fairly brisk temperatures. Thurlow makes an overmitt. Mine
have a slit at the palm so I can stick four fingers through for complete
dexterity and maintain good warmth. Or tuck in all fingers for better
warmth.
Personally, I like heated grips now instead of warmer gloves; keeps me
warmer
and safer.
Anyway, point is: Go to a good leather (Thurlow uses really comfortable
deer skin and kangaroo hide is also highly recommended.) place that will do
some mild custom modfication.
