ECU Replacement

I'm at my wits end regarding the dreaded surging with my 1993 GTS.  Has
anyone replaced the 1993 ECU with the 1994 ECU and had it resolve the
surging problem?

Also, can some advise me on which part number to order.  The microfiche
reads as follows:

1993 ECU 4BH-8591A-00-00

1994 ECU 4HH-8591A-10-00 (USA)
1994 ECU 4BH-8591A-00-00 (CAN)

Note:  The 1993 and 1994 (CAN) are the same.
