Have not removed, but have neatly cut off about 3 inches .  It looks great
and still serves as a fender.  ( Take it off, make a pattern of the original
on paper, user it to make your new arc about 3 inches higher.  A band saw
works great to cut it and a file just to finish.)       Dave Schweisgut/Pa
