This past Tuesday we just finished replacing the stock exhaust with a
complete system for a 93 FZR 1000 from D&D; the pipes and the mufler are a
direct bolt on; the challenge was the connector in between. We had to cut it
were it goes from 2 into 1, rotate it 180, bent the pipe 2" and then
rewelded; we also had to drill the hole for the nut for the oxygen sensorand
welded. To fit the new system we had to take the center stand off and to cut
the right bracket otherwise the connector would not fit. The bike felt a lot
lighter and the response is a lot quicker; Ofcourse it is louder too.
Very please with the change, I hope this will help anybody that is thinking
of improving the bike's performance.
Ed.
