I couldn't find/nor order the 1098 filter...so I took the old filter in with me...what you want is a flat rectangular K&N filter that can be cut in two. Don't worry it doesn't collapse because the filter material is supported by a woven wire mess that can be manipulated into the shape we need. I can't remember the actual model I used (it was about 1/16" to short if I recall...but only I know that...opps now you do too!) But it was like $46
